I Gotta Sing

I Gotta Sing is an African-American spiritual. You can change “sing” to other one-syllable words, even encouraging your kids to add more verses to the song this way. The song is almost pentatonic, but there’s a fa that introduces the last phrase. The song is also good for reinforcing dotted rhythms in the last phrase, and it’s not a bad recorder piece.
